Marinated pork rib meat is a classic KBBQ cut from the first to fourth or fifth rib of a pig.
It has a chewy texture, savoury flavour, and is more tender than beef ribs.
It’s believed that pork ribs in Korea started popping up in the mid-1950s in the Mapo-gu neighbourhood of Seoul, where restaurants grilled the meat in drums used by the US military.
Yangnyeom(marinated) pork ribs are made with soy sauce and are popular for their salty and sweet flavour.
